Greener pasture
Sep 4th
Many of my HS batchmates went abroad seeking for healthcare jobs. Most of them took a second course in Nursing so they could work abroad in search for greener pasture. They’re successful in their goal to land a job but some went home because of the recession. Those who were settled even before the recession are lucky enough to survive the crisis but according to them, it was tough. Anyway, they’re picking up now so this might be a good year from them.
Stuck at my cafe
Sep 4th
I was supposed to be reading a paper in Mesothelioma diagnosis last night before I went to bed. Too bad that I was stuck at my cafe in Cafe World then I hit the bed saying to myself I’ll do that tomorrow after work. Now I am tempted to open my cafe and check on the dishes that I am cooking but I need to get this done before I do my thing in facebook. So I am embracing the online world now that I have tasks to do on the side.
Easier document filing
Sep 4th
We’re dealing with so many documents a day and it is really tedious to file those documents aside from the fact that it will eat a lot of storage space in the office. To address this concern it would be better if we get a scanner software so the documents will be scanned have it filed in the computer for easy retrieval. If this happens, it will save us so much time filing the documents and digging in the storage room when we need some documents to work back.
Online shopping
Aug 26th
The wife loves to shop. If only funds is unlimited, she could have shopped tons of items for her small business. She was even wishing she has an eBillme account and use the coupons available such as onecall coupons to save some bucks. I wouldn’t be surprised if one day she will shop through eBillme because she will definitely make ways to figure out how to go about it and have an account. That if, location won’t be a problem with granting an account. For now, she’s still relying on her online friend to shop for her but I am sure she’s looking forward for the time when she can directly shop online.
Hardworking laptop
Aug 26th
Wifey’s laptop will turn one year old middle of next month. So far, her laptop isn’t acting up or brought to the service center for repairs. I just hope it wouldn’t give her a headache even after the laptop warranty expires because her lappy is her life. She’s working on it day in and day out so I can’t imagine how her day would be without the laptop. We have an old desktop as a spare unit but she cannot work on it for long hours because the monitor is already defective and that she would end up with a headache after hours of looking at the blurry and yellowish monitor. Hope we’ll be able to get her a desktop soon so her laptop could also rest.
We’re almost there!
Aug 13th
After almost a year, we’re a step closer to owning our own home. Last Monday we submitted the lacking documents for my housing loan. We’re planning to upgrade our unit to the biggest house and lot area under the low-cost models (low cost but it still costs almost a million pesos!) so I asked the developer’s staff if I could upgrade our reserved units. After numerous computations, finally we settled for the Waling-Waling model with 52sq. m floor area and 140sq. m lot area BUT we need to pay for an equity of more than a hundred thousand pesos. We agreed to pay 30% of the equity next month and the remaining amount will be paid in 12 months. I am in high spirits for this project hence will find means to secure the money that we need.
Reflectorized jacket
Aug 9th
I’ve been wanting to have a reflectorized jacket that I can use when driving. The wife is bugging me to look for one but I haven’t found anything in the stores. I found one online but it’s a bit pricey so I kept on postponing the plan of buying a reflectorized jacket until my brother-in-law sent me one. It’s issued to him by the company he works for but it is too small for him. The jacket fits me well and is so comfortable to wear even during hot afternoons when I am on the road! Many of my colleagues are expressing their desire to buy my jacket. No way that I will sell it!LOL.
Now my safety gears is almost complete. Thanks to the donors!
