Going clean and green

I am an advocate for a clean and green environment. In as much as environmentalists are trying their very best to promote the correct disposal of garbage, people still find it hard to follow simple instructions, which is sad. In big cities, especially, waste disposal is a major problem. It is advised that people would have composters in their yards so that they can make use of their biodegradable wastes and turn them into something useful.

The bigger problem lies in the non-biodegradable ones. Efforts are being made about recycling, but it’s not that simple. I hope we could see a cleaner, greener and healthier environment 10 years from now.

We’re almost there!

After almost a year, we’re a step closer to owning our own home. Last Monday we submitted the lacking documents for my housing loan. We’re planning to upgrade our unit to the biggest house and lot area under the low-cost models (low cost but it still costs almost a million pesos!) so I asked the developer’s staff if I could upgrade our reserved units. After numerous computations, finally we settled for the Waling-Waling model with 52sq. m floor area and 140sq. m lot area BUT we need to pay for an equity of more than a hundred thousand pesos. We agreed to pay 30% of the equity next month and the remaining amount will be paid in 12 months. I am in high spirits for this project hence will find means to secure the money that we need.
