We (I and the wifey) did a pro bono Maternity Shoot early this month. We are glad a pregnant friend (dear wife’s HS classmate) trusted us to shoot her maternity portraits. It was our first time to shoot such and both me and Kerslyn are not good at directing models so it wasn’t easy. Considering that the location is in a public park, the job was tougher as we are all (the photographers and the model) are conscious of the onlookers.

I used our Canon 400D while Kerslyn used the model’s Canon 450D. Here are some of the photos we took during the photo shoot (processed in Lightroom)….

It was indeed great doing the shoot and we all feel good about the outcome. Kerslyn posted the processed photos in her flickr and facebook accounts. Our friend loves all the photos too and is asking for a high definition copy of the photos so she can have it printed. We will drop by our friend’s clinic to give the CD copy of the photos and get from her the baby shower invitations at the same time. We are all excited to see the baby and do a newborn shoot!

I hope this will be a good start to a photography business. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed!
